SCHOLAR-IN-RESIDENCE - RABBI DR. IVAN LERNER
   

Rabbi Dr. Lerner is the Rabbi Emeritus of Claremont Hebrew Congregation in Cape Town, South Africa. Rabbi Lerner's background includes specialties in psychology and education and he has published numerous booklets on family issues, parenting, communication and conflict resolution.
 
He served as an Adjunct Prof. Of Education at the University of California. Rabbi Lerner holds doctorates in Education and Psychology and is a licensed psychologist in the USA and Australia. He is often called upon to lecture on themes which require a blending of his spiritual and psychological background. Currently, Dr. Lerner and his wife, a former school principal, live in Washington DC where he is a consulting psychologist to schools and businesses.

DR. ERICA BROWN

Dr. Erica Brown is the Director of Adult Education for the Partnership  for Jewish Life and Learning and the Scholar-in-Residence for the Jewish Federation of Greater Washington. Her book, "Inspired Leadership: A Jewish Perspective" will be out this fall.
DR. JEREMY BROWN

Dr. Jeremy Brown lectures especially on the nexus between halachah and medicine. He is the research director for emergency medicine at George Washington University.

Dr. Brown is the former editor of Jewish Medical Update and is widely published in medical journals.
He co-edited the book, Venous Thromboembolic Emergencies and is currently completing a textbook on emergency medicine for Oxford University Press.
 
TECHIYA LEVINE
 
Techiya Levine grew up in Cleveland, Ohio, where she spent her formative years active in Jewish organizations and theatre. She moved to Israel where she studied at various schools including Hebrew University, Neve Yerushalayim and Aish HaTorah's Women's College. Since marrying Chaim in 1994,  they have lived in several cities. Techiya’s focus was mainly on Singles’ Programming (SpeeedDating was a favorite!) as well as Bat Mitzvah Courses. Currently in Seattle, Techiya is teaching how Torah values translate into enhanced relationships, teaching couple’s groups with her husband, Chaim, as well as women’s classes.

Rabbi Chaim Levine heads LivingJudaism, an organization dedicated to sharing the relevance of Judaism and Jewish values in a way that directly impacts the wisdom, well being, and closeness of Jewish individuals, marriages, and families.  Rabbi Levine has spoken all over the US as well as the UK and Israel. People from all different backgrounds connect to his fresh and entertaining approach to teaching Torah.  Both Chaim and Techiya are available for one-on-one or couples sessions.
